In its latest report titled “US Markets for non breast aesthetic Implants 2014,” Burlington, Massachusetts-based health care industry research firm Decision Resources Group said the cosmetic implant market is expected to rise in some areas, but decline in others.
Specifically, the group references a growing aversion to invasive implant procedures, especially now that significantly less invasive options, such as using fat for body contouring, are widely available. Breast augmentations, however, are one area in which implant use is expected to increase. Additionally, chin and mandibular implants are expected to be on the rise since there is no presently-known alternative to these procedures that is more natural / less invasive.
