A cosmetic surgeon’s notes on Hollywood starlet Marilyn Monroe’s cosmetic surgery will be auctioned in November along with a set of her X-rays.
Hollywood plastic surgeon Michael Gurdin’s notes revealed that Monroe, who set the standard for natural beauty and glamour at the height of her career, had a cartilage implant in her chin.
Julien’s Auctions executive director Martin Nolan said people had always been apprehensive to think that Monroe had gone under the knife, assuming “she was such a natural beauty.”
X-rays of the late actress, which were dated June 7, 1962, were taken after Monroe consulted with Gurdin following a late night accident.
